What Sizes Are Architectural Drawings?

What Is CAD Plotting?
CAD plotting is large format output of drawings made in CAD software. A plotter handles sheets far wider than an office printer. It holds every line true to scale, so measured dimensions stay correct on paper.
What Is a Blueprint?
A blueprint is a copy of a technical drawing used on site. The name comes from an old white-on-blue process. Today the term means any working construction drawing, and we plot them in black and white or colour.
What Is GSM in Plotter Paper?
GSM means grams per square metre, the weight of the paper. Standard drawing sheets use 80 GSM, which folds and rolls well for site use. Heavier stocks suit presentation sets where colour needs more depth.
What Does Drawing Scale Mean?
Scale is the ratio between the sheet and the real building. At 1:100, one centimetre on paper equals one metre on site. We plot at true scale so your measurements read correctly straight off the sheet.
